Enrique Iglesias poster - Hero

This original Enrique Iglesias poster for the track ”Hero' is taken from his second album, Escape from 2001 and was written by Iglesias, Paul Barry and Mark Taylor. First released to radio in September 2001 it received a positive critical and commercial reception and has sold 8 million copies worldwide to date. 

After the 911 attacks on the twin towers, which took place 8 days after the release, Hero was one of the songs chosen by a number of DJs in New York to be over dubbed with audio from police, firefighters, civilians, and politicians commenting on the attacks at the time.  As such, Hero remains a very powerful musical memory of this historic event to this day. Iglesias was also asked to sing Hero live at America: A Tribute to Heroes. 

The video for 'Hero' was directed by Joseph Kahn and features Iglesias as an honourable criminal hunted by his enemies. Jennifer Love Hewitt plays his love interest and follows Iglesias and Hewitt running from their enemies in the desert.
