Composed by Swedish pop singer-songwriter Per Gessle in less than an hour, ‘Sleeping in My Car’ was released in March 1994 as the lead single from Roxette’s fifth studio album, ‘Crash! Boom! Bang!’. It quickly became the duo’s second number one single in Sweden and found commercial success across the globe, peaking at number two in Denmark and Finland and at number 7 on Billboards European Hot 100 Singles.
