Original poster for 'Til The End' by Haven

Gary Briggs, Nathan Watson, Iwan Gronow and Jack Mitchell formed their indie rock band Haven – at the time called Blew – in Cornwall, 1996, when singer Briggs met guitarist Watson in a record shop in Penzance. After recruiting Gronow and their drummer at the time, Tom Lewis, they were discovered by the former Smiths’ manager, Joe Moss, and moved to Manchester for a regular slot at The Night and Day Café.

“Til The End” was Haven’s first single release in 2001, and remained nonpareil in their 2002 album “Between The Senses”. Their second album release in 2004 allowed the band to constantly remain on tour.

The band split up after a disagreement with their recording label, who asked Haven to record a third album but set the deadline for material production soon after the tour. As a result, Haven was unable to produce enough new music for the album and the band split up after being released from their recording contract.
